Aromatherapy involves the use of volatile plant materials, also known as essential oils that can be aromatically inhaled by patients with a wide variety of health conditions.  It is often used to improve mood, change cognitive states and can also be utilised as a supplemental medicine.
The health benefits of aromatherapy include its ability to relieve anxiety and depression, boost energy levels, speed up the healing process, cure headaches, boost cognition, induce sleep, strengthen the immune system, reduce pain, improve digestion, and increase circulation.

Reflexologists believe that different areas on your feet and hands correspond to other parts of your body, and massaging them stimulates your parasympathetic nervous system to heal itself.
For 3,000 years Chinese practitioners have used reflexology to re-balance Qi (the life force flowing through energy channels) to treat a number of conditions. It can work alongside conventional Western medical medicine to promote healing and improve wellbeing and vitality.
In Chinese medicine, reflexology works on a similar principle to acupuncture where the body is divided into 12 pairs of energy zones (Meridians),
Chinese practitioners believe that when these energy channels become blocked a person feels unwell.
Both reflexology and acupuncture aim to dissolve any blockages causing ill-health by encouraging the free flow of vital energy through the body.
Whilst acupuncture focuses on points along the Meridians, situated all over the body, and stimulates them with needles, reflexology focuses on the Meridians in the feet and works on them with finger pressures and is useful for people with needle phobias.

Traditional Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient healing art, handed down from teacher to pupil since the third century BC.
Thai Yoga Massage (TYM) uses an energy line system—the Ten Sen—through which the body's natural life force flows. Blockages in this life force cause aches, pains and disease.
The therapist uses hands, feet and elbows to apply pressure to important points on the energy lines, together with gentle stretching and applied Hatha Yoga. This releases blocked energy and frees the body's healing potential, restoring balance and harmony.
TYM treats ailments such as headache, knee pain, back, shoulder and neck pain, premenstrual tension and others. It is especially effective for numbness or loss of feeling in conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, or after a stroke, and can help with pain relief during labour.
Wear something loose and comfortable like jogging bottoms and t-shirt as the treatment is carried out with the client clothed.

Shiatsu is a traditional Japanese method of healing body work. It relies on the use the fingers, thumbs and palm to apply pressure to various areas of the body’s surface to help heal common ailments and conditions and correct imbalances in the body. Like Thai Yoga Massage, the client remains clothed so it's advisable to wear something loose and comfortable for the treatment.
Pressure applied to points on the body promotes energy flow and corrects disharmonies throughout the patient's body. In addition to being a deeply relaxing experience, Shiatsu helps relieve stress, treat pain and illness, and contributes to a patient's overall health and wellbeing.
Shiatsu regulates the automatic nervous system activity and stimulates the circulatory, lymphatic and hormonal systems. Poor posture, joint problems, sprains, arthritis, sciatica, acute and chronic neck and back pain, sinusitis, and bronchitis are treatable with Shiatsu.

Deep Tissue Massage is a technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fibres of the muscles, tendons and fascia.

The various Swedish massage techniques are designed to improve your circulation, soothe your muscles and make you feel more relaxed. Swedish massage uses softer strokes on the bonier and more delicate parts of the body, and stronger strokes where there is thicker muscle coverage. This adjustment of pressure makes it an ideal massage for relaxation but can also be used to energise the body.

A stiff neck and poor circulation can only mean one thing: too many hours sat behind your desk. That’s why we recommend you move from one chair to another. Sound mad? A De-Stress Massage combines Swedish techniques, acupressure, stretching and joint manipulation to release stress from the body. The relaxing strokes ease the mind, calm the emotions and gently push the tension from the muscles. The perfect massage for the end of the week or during hectic times.

In a Relaxing Body Massage, our therapist doesn't push you to the limit in order to get the muscle to release tension. It deals less with pushing out knots and digging deep into tense tissue. Instead, the therapist uses gentle and slow strokes to sweep you into a calm and dreamy state. If you're getting a massage for the first time or only have a massage a couple of times a year, this is the perfect choice.

Unlike, the Spa version of Hot Stone Massage where hot stones are laid upon the body, our Hot Stone treatments incorporate the heated pebble shaped basalt stones into the actual massage strokes from the very start... held in the therapists hand, the hot stones add a warmth to the already relaxing strokes of a Swedish massage and increase the effectiveness of a Deep Tissue massage.

Osteopathy is a manual therapy in which the patient is treated in a holistic approach: "the Body is a Unit".
The core principle of Osteopathy is to consider that each part of your body is related and interdependent with the others.During your life, your body reacts in its own way to your internal stress (eg: scoliosis) and external stress (eg: psychosocial environment).
The aim is to understand how your whole body is functioning, why you developed this particular pain and which stressors could predispose or maintain it.
Treatment is tailored to you and to enhance your healing process, our therapists use a large spectrum of Osteopathic Technics such as Cranial, Visceral, Fascial and Structural technics.

Nobody should have to live with chronic disease, joint and muscle pain and everyday aches at any age. Combining Osteopathic Techniques, gentle Joint mobilization, Trigger Point Therapy (similar to Acupressure), Neuro-Muscular exercise therapy (for joint pain and specific nerve stimulation), myofascial release techniques enhancing blood flow, muscle energy techniques, oscillatory rhythmical limb movements regulating the nerves and lymph nodes and Medicinal Deep Tissue Massage with rehabilitation exercises.

Acupressure is a traditional, holistic and time-tested treatment for a wide range of ailments including anxiety, headaches, constipation, respiratory problems and fat digestion. Traditional acupuncture is a healthcare system based on ancient principles dating back over two thousand years. It looks at pain and illness as signs that the body is out of balance. The overall aim of acupuncture treatment is to restore the body's equilibrium. The procedure involves insertion of sterilised very fine needles into appropriate acupuncture points in the body according to the acupuncture prescription following the diagnostic differentiation and treatment plan that is individually tailored. It works through stimulating the meridians to move obstruction, promote circulation, reduce access and nourish insufficiency. It also involves various other technics such as cupping, moxa, electro-acupuncture, guasha, and massage.

It might have hit the mainstream at the 2016 Olympics (thanks, Michael Phelps) but cupping’s been a firm favourite treatment to ease muscle tension and help invigorate across the globe for donkey’s year. Sure, the post-treatment marks are a little weird, but the de-stressing benefits are well worth it…

Reiki is a natural healing energy that works on every level. By activating this natural healing process the body can begin to restore to a state of physical well being and activate the body's ability to heal itself at all levels; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Problems you are expericing whether physical or emotional can be released through a series of sessions, but sometimes one is enough to rebalance and bring harmony to yourself.

An initial reiki treatment will be 75 minutes (the first 15 minutes free) to give us time for a pre consultation and to discuss what you would like to achieve. During the treatment you can either sit or lie down and the practitioner will either lay hands on you or over you to increase your energy flow through your meridian lines and chakra energy fields, shifting the body from stress response to the relaxation response.

During reiki sessions additional sound healing can be of great benefit, which some of our reiki practitioners can offer. This will include drums, singing bowls, and tuning forks. For these sessions 90 minutes is highly recomended.

Reiki brings mind, body and spirit balance and harmony, prompting the body's natural healing ability.
