Deep Tissue Massage is a technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fibres of the muscles, tendons and fascia.


The various Swedish massage techniques are designed to improve your circulation, soothe your muscles and make you feel more relaxed. Swedish massage uses softer strokes on the bonier and more delicate parts of the body, and stronger strokes where there is thicker muscle coverage. This adjustment of pressure makes it an ideal massage for relaxation but can also be used to energise the body.

Relaxation massage is a gentle Swedish massage that uses smooth, gliding strokes to help you relax. The massage therapist will move at a slower pace and use lighter pressure. In a relaxation massage, there is less emphasis on working out chronic underlying muscle tension -- the adhesions or "knots" and muscle restrictions in the muscle tissue. That's because deep tissue work can be uncomfortable, and during a relaxation massage you just want to drift away and feel good.

In a Relaxing Massage, our therapist doesn't push you to the limit in order to get the muscle to release tension. It deals less with pushing out knots and digging deep into tense tissue. Instead, the therapist uses gentle and slow strokes to sweep you into a calm and dreamy state. If you're getting a massage for the first time or only have a massage a couple of times a year, this is the perfect choice.



A De-Stress Massage combines Swedish techniques, acupressure, stretching and joint manipulation to release stress from the body. The relaxing strokes ease the mind, calm the emotions and gently push the tension from the muscles. The perfect massage for the end of the week or during hectic times.





Hypnotherapy is a form of complementary therapy where a Hypnotherapist helps you enter an altered state of awareness using the power of positive suggestion using skilled relaxation techniques.

In a deeply relaxed state, you are able to fully control change through your subconscious thoughts, feelings and behaviour. During this heightened state of awareness, your therapist can tap into your subconscious mind and make agreed suggestions to help you reach your goals. For example, letting go of old habits, helping to change negative behaviours and patterns which no longer serve you, or which are holding you back.

All initial appointments will be 75 minutes (first 15 minutes will be free) to give us time for pre-consultation to discuss what we can achieve from a session. Often people find that 3 or 4 sessions are valuable and sometimes just one is enough.



Reiki is a natural healing energy that works on every level. By activating this natural healing process the body can begin to restore to a state of physical well being and activate the body's ability to heal itself at all levels; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Problems you are expericing whether physical or emotional can be released through a series of sessions, but sometimes one is enough to rebalance and bring harmony to yourself.

During the treatment you can either sit or lie down and the practitioner will either lay hands on you or over you to increase your energy flow through your meridian lines and chakra energy fields, shifting the body from stress response to the relaxation response.

During reiki sessions additional sound healing can be of great benefit, which some of our reiki practitioners can offer. This will include drums, singing bowls, and tuning forks. For these sessions 90 minutes is highly recomended.

Acupressure is a traditional, holistic and time-tested treatment for a wide range of ailments including anxiety, headaches, constipation, respiratory problems and fat digestion. Based around the same energy points as acupuncture, this treatment is ideal for someone who is perhaps a bit squeamish around the sight of needles.

  • First, your therapist applies a firm pressure along energy lines in your body called meridians. Your therapist chooses which meridians to follow according to your symptoms.

  • Once your muscles are loosened, light massage and effleurage strokes may be incorporated into the session as needed.
  • After your treatment, your therapist gives you a self-care plan and recommends a follow-up treatment if necessary.
